SUPERIORITY OF PURDY WIN IN SERIES OF GAMES SYDNEY. Sept, 18 C. Purdy, New South Wales State chess champion, defeated G. Koshnitsky, Australian champion, in their 10 game match. At the end of the ninth game Purdy is leading with four wins and three drawn games, to Koshnitsky's two wins and three drawn games. Thus the tenth game cannot affect the result of the match.
