FRANKTON UNITED CLUB , [FROM OCR OWN CORRESPONDENT 1 } , . < ' HAMILTON. Monday The report, presented at the annual meetj ing of the Frankton United Cricket Club -'Showed a successful season. The report stated that the club had taken ©art in II competition games, nine having been won. J, Dempsey proved the club's best bowler, with an average of 9.32 for 40 wickets, while A. Mundy returned the best batting averaae of 25.60. The following officers were elected President, Mr. E. V. Stace; club captain, Mr. R. T. Craig: secretary. Mr. A. Molloy: committee. Messrs. J. Dempsey. F. R. Price. K. Davey. G. Absolum. A. Davies.

MAUNGAKIEKIE CLUB A successful post season was shown by the report presented at the annual meeting of the Maungakiekie Cricket Club. The president, Mr. J. A. Forsmau, mentioned the club's satisfactory financial position, and emphasised the progress it had made during the past season, after an early setback. The third intermediate team won the Cox Cup for the second successive time, and the senior B team finished runners-up. A tribute to the Auckland City and Suburban Cricket Association's interest in junior clubs wag unanimously accorded. The following officers were elected:—Patron, Mr. H. Mclsaacs; president, Mr. B. HAMILTON CLUB [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Monday Congratulations were extended to the senior team on winning the principal competition conducted by the South Auckland Cricket Association for the second time in three years in the report presented at the annual meeting of the Hamilton Cricket Club. The report stated that N. "Winger topped both the batting and bowling averages in club games, and also topped the bowling for the Hamilton senior competition. His average was 41 for batting and 49 wickets at an average of 9.5 for bowling. The balance-sheet showed the club to be in a sound financial position. Hedditch, presided over a good attendance at the annual meeting of the Whangarei Cricket Association. The balance-sheet disclosed a profit of £lO on the past season. In his report the president referred to the succeessful eeason, and the definite improvMnent in cricket in Ihe district, resulting from the coaching by Mr. G. L. Weir, the New Zealand representative. Montague presided, and delegates were present from Matamata, Gordon. Tftardville, Te Poi, Okauia, High School and Manawaru Tho election of officers resulted as follows •Patron. Mr. E. Bowler; president. Mr. F. Montague; vice-presidents. Messrs. J. Pohlen and C. E. Barry (Matamata). Messrs. L. Stone and L. bcott (Manawaru). Mr. A. Bowler (To Aroha). Messrs. I'. E. Hughes and J.
