TREATMENT OF CANCER
AUTHORITY ON RADIUM VISIT TO DOMINION To begin a tour 6i the Dominion on behalf of the New Zealand branch of the British Empire Cancer Campaign, Dr. H. M. Moran, of Sydney, will arrive in Auckland this morning by the Niagara. Dr. Moran is a leading authority on radium treatment for cancer, and is consultant for radium treatment at the Ro.va! Prince Alfred and Lewisham Hospitals, S.ydney. He is also a member of "ho Medical Board of New South Wales. Dr. Moran will address the weekly luncheon meeting of the Auckland Rotary Club to-day on the subject of research in 'medicine, with particular reference to cancer research. To-mor-row night he will give a public lecture at the University College on "The Social Problem of Cancer with Special Reference to Radiation Pigment." The meeting will be uuder the auspices of the British Medical Association, the Empire Cancer Campaign Society and the Auckland Institute and Museum. In his younger days Dr. Moran was a prominent Rugby footballer, and captained the Australian team that visited England in 1908.
