CRUISERS LEAVE TO-DAY
— VISIT TO AUSTRALIA ROYAL ESGORT DUTY < £ To form portion of the Royal escorV which will include Australian warships, on the arrival of the Duke of Gloucester at Melbourne, H.M.S. Dunedin, flagship of Rear-Admiral F. Surges Wat?, son, and H.M.S. Diomede, commanded, by Captain Cosino Graham, will leave 4 for Australia, this morning. They willbe absent from Auckland for two months.
Both cruisers Trill "proceed first to' 2 Sydney, where they afe due on Friday. After 15 days there they will continue their cruise to Hobart, where they wiH ;: remain for eight days before proceeding to Melbourne. After the Melbourne Centenary cele- K brations the Dunedin and Diomede will return to New Zealand and will visit the South Island, the Dunedin calling at Dunedin and the Diomede at Lyttel* ton before they return to Auckland oa ~ November 20. < \ ; ■ -'-'M
