FOUR FLIERS SAVED

PARACHUTE DESCENTS BOMBER IN TROUBLE LONDON, Sept. 13 Four members of the Royal Air Force descended with parachutes safely from a bomber which crashed at midnight near Guildford, Surrey, owing to engine failure. Three descended from 2000 feet. The pilot remained at the controls until his comrades had jumped safely and then he leaped out at a height of 1000 feet. He landed in a tree. This is the first time an entire crew has been saved by means of parachutes.
