RUSSIAN TREASURE

PRINCESS MARINA'S AUNT RECOVERY AFTER 10 YEARS LONDON. Sept. 5 A message from Belgrade states that •unexpected good fortune has befallen a relative of Princess Marina, fiancee of Prince George of England. About 900 chests of treasure saved after the revolution in Russia by General Wrangel's forces are to- be returned, after 10 years' litigation, to their rightful owner, Princess Marina's aunt, the Grand Duchess Marie Georgievna. Her first husband, the Grand Duke George of Russia, was killed bv the Bolsheviks in 1919. The treasure lies in the strong-rooms of the Yugoslav Ministry of Finance, and includes a unique collection of gold coins lent before the war by the Grand Duke George for exhibition in St. Petersburg. The treasure was moved from there to Moscow and thence via the Caucasus to Yugoslavia. General Wrangel sold a portion in London. It is expected that Prince George will return to London from Yugoslavia early next week. Princess Marina will visit England a week or two later, and probably will stay at Balmoral Castle with the King and Queen.
