WORK AMONG POOR

LATE MR. F. BRIANT GREAT TRIBUTE AT FUNERAL (Received September 6, 6.5 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY, Sept. 5 A remarkable tribute was paid to the memory of the late Mr. Frank Briant, formerly Liberal member of the House of Commons for Lambeth North, who died on September 1, at his funeral today. The greater part of Mr. Briant's life had been devoted to work among the poor, and every political, social and philanthropic organisation in the Lambeth area was represented at the church service, as well as many members of both Houses of Parliament.
