PUPUKE GOLF CLUB

A most enjoyable function, held in perfect weather, was given by the ladies of the Pupuke Golf Club for Mrs. Ben Goldwater prior to. her departure for the Melbourne Centenary. A Canadian foursome was played in tho morning, tho winners being Mrs, E. Hopkins and Miss M. Cameron. Special prizes presented by Mrs. Goldwater were won by Miss B. O'Neill and Mrs. F. Prosser. Lunch was served in tho clubhouse at a long tablo decorated with the club colours —blue and goldMrs. P. Andrew (captain), on behalf of the lady members, presented tho guest of honour with a gift of perfume and a bouquet of blue and gold flowers. The putting green later presented a gay scene with players competing for a prize, which was won by Mrs. P. Andrew. Miss J. Gooding won Mrs. Goldwater's prize. Among those present were: —Mrs. J. Williamson, Mrs. Prosser, Mrs. Jaggs, Mrs. Beaumont, Mrs. Lewin, Mrs. Gooding, Mrs. Herbert, Mrs. Houghton, Mrs. Curtis, Mrs. Foote, Mrs. Spiller, Mrs. Roe, Mrs. Baxter, Mrs. Thompson, Mrs. Mair, Mrs. Whitcombe, Mrs. Howie, Mrs. Gray, Mrs. Hopkins, Mrs. AVhite, Mrs..
