LISTENER'S DEATH
COLLAPSE IN SYDNEY BRADMAN'S DOUBLE CENTURY "5 (Received August 19. G. 45 p.m.) SYDNKY, August 19 The death is reported of Mr. E. N. Ward, aged 63, curator of the Sydney Botanic Gardens and Centennial Park. Mr. Ward was born in Yorkshire and was well known in many parts of the world. He had been ill and was listening to a broadcast of the test cricket match. He said he would stay up until Bradman reached his double century. He collapsed almost immediately after that batsman had achieved the feat.
