CYCLIST INJURED

MACHINE STRIKES WOMAN CONDITION FAIRLY SERIOUS Severe head injuries were suffered by a cyclist, Clarence Martin, aged 19, of 22 Karaka Street, Newton, when his machine struck a woman pedestrian at the corner of Pitt Street and Kara nga ha pe Road, Newton, last evening. The cyclist, who was turning from Pitt Street into Karangahape Road, was thrown heavily from his machine, but the pedestrian was not injured. Martin was taken to the Auckland Hospital in a St. John ambulance, and his condition was reported to be fairly serious last night. BOY KNOCKED DOWN SERIOUS HEAD INJURIES A seven-year-old boy, Raymond Christopher, whose homo is at Great South Road, Manurcwa, was admitted to the Auckland Hospital at the weekend suffering from head injuries. The boy was struck by a .cyclist on Saturday afternoon. His condition was serious at a lato hour last night.
