DESCENT IN SEA
NEW DEPTH RECORD VANCOUVER, August 15 A message from Hamilton, Bermuda, states that Dr. William Beebe, a famous American naturalist-explorer and deei>sea scientist, established a new depth record in a bathysphere to-day, when he descended 3028 ft. below the surface of the sea. This exceeds the depth of a descent he made on Saturday, by. olStt.
