CRUELTY TO HORSE
GAOL FOR YOUNG MAORI [by TELEGRAPH OWN correspondent] TAUMARUNUI, Thursday In the Magistrate's Court to-day before Mr. W, H. Woodward, 5.M.," Sirtjion Koti, a young Maori, was charged with cruelly treating a horse on July 28. The magistrate said he was satisfied it was a case of cruelty to a dumb animal. Accused was sentenced to three weeks' imprisonment.
