Lambourne, Director of Education, returned to Wellington by the express yesterday afternoon., / Mr. A. M. Samuel, M.P. for Thames, arrived from Wellington yesterday morning. Mr. Anderson Tyrer, examiner for Trinity College of Music, London, is at, the Hotel Cargfn. He is accompanied by Mrs. Tyrer. Air. 13. Van Staveren, managing director of Van Staveren Brothers, Limited, returned from England by the Akaroa on Tuesday. The Rev. G. E. Moreton, secretary of the Auckland Discharged Prisoners' Aid Society, returned from Wellington by yesterday morning's limited express. Mr. G. L. Taylor, president of the Auckland Rotary Club, returned jester? day from Wellington, where he attended the annual New Zealand Rotary district assembly. Professor James Shelley, of Christ-: church, has been re-elected president of the New Zealand Society of Artists and Mr. R. E. McDougall, of Christt church, has been re-elected patron. Mr. C. J. Tunks, Auckland Commis? sioner of the St. John Ambulance Association, returned from Wellington yesterday morning after attending meeting of the Comniandery Council of the association. Mr. G. M. Valentine, of the Dairy Division of the Department of Agriculr ture, who has been in England during the past ten months studying grading and other dairying matters, returned by the Akaroa, which arrived at Weilington from London on Tuesday.
