PROPOSED MELBOURNE VISIT LEAVE FOR MASTER DECLINED [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION'] WELLINGTON, Monday The Minister of Education, Hon. R. Masters, is stated to have declined to grant leave of absence to enable a master to accompany, college athletes to Melbourne to take part in the Centenary sports, and as one of the stipulations made by the Centenary Celebrations Council is that a team should be accompanied by a schoolmaster, the prospects of the visit of a New Zealand team taking place are affected.
