TRAMWAY PASSES
POSITION IN CHRISTCHURCH The change by which the Christchurch Tramway Board's weekly passes were made non-transferable a month ago has resulted in a slight increase in revenue. Formerly the holder was merely required to write his name on the ticket, but as a further safeguard against transference conductors after the first week of tho now system clipped the passes besido tho written name, so that the name could not be subsequently erased and written again on one of the otber spaces provided. The general manager said last week that tho increase in revenue was not large, but it was noticeable.
