MEETINGS AT ELLERSLIE SUCCESSFUL NEGOTIATIONS WIN AND PLACE BETTING Negotiations for the Takapuna Jockey Club to hold future meetings at : Ellerslie were concluded yesterday. The following official statement was issued: "Satisfactory arrangements have been concluded between the Auckland Racing Club and the Takapuna Jockey Club for the latter to hold its race meetings in future at Ellerslie. The arrangements are being submitted to the New Zealand Racing Conference for its approval." The Takapuna dates for the current season are November 24 and 26 for the spring meeting, and January 26 and 29 for the summer meeting. It is understood that the Takapuna Jockey Club proposes to use the win and place betting system at its Ellerslie meetings. The Auckland Racing Club at present has no intention of changing from the twodividends method for its own meetings.
