NEVER HAD A HOLIDAY

A unique record is held by a farm labourer of Denton, a small Northamptonshire village. He is Mr. John Robinson, and although only 65, he has been employed on the same farm for over 53 years, commencing as a boy at the age of 12. In recognition of his long services Mr. Robinson has been awarded a medallion by the Royal Agricultural Society of England, and two other awards by the Bakewell and Northants Agricultural Societies. He has never had a holiday, seen the sea or heard "talkies." ' Mr. Robinson was married when only n youth, earning lis a week. To-day his wage is 30s. "I am still fit for the century," he ftaid lately, "and hope to be in harness ffor years."
