NURSES' QUALIFICATIONS
PROTEST BY FARMERS [by telegraph—tress association] NEW PLYMOUTH, Friday A protest was made at to-day's meeting of the North Taranaki Farmers' Union executive against the practico of hospital boards in demanding two years' secondary education of pupil nurses, it being alleged that farmers' daughters wero thus debarred from nursing. It was resolved to request that hospital boards should set a definite standard in order that country girls might study without attending a secondary school.
