ROBIN HOOD PAGEANT
Owing to the outstanding popularity of the Kobin Hood pageant and the fact that large numbers of people have had to be refused admission to the Town Flail, a special children's matinee will be staged this afternoon and the final performance will be given tonight. Such a lavish and brilliant spectacle as "Robin Hood and His Men" is without precedent in Auckland, and the public patronage it has received is sufficient testimony to its entertainment value. The production is particularly notable for its delightful music, and except foi an overture by Mendelssohn and three well-known dances b.v Edward German all the music was composed by local artists. The scenery is produced on lavish scale and the Town Hall has been transformed into an accurate representation of Slierwood Forest.
