YIELDS OF COMPANIES Bell-Hooper (Cromwell) .—Last week. lOoz. Bdwt. Snowy River (West Coast).—som, 2dwt. for 162 hours. ALEXANDER OPERATIONS The report of Alexander Mines, Limited (Reefton), for July states that work was resumed on July 12. Stoping only was carried out. The power plant machinery has been placed in position. VICTORIAN GOLD YIELD The yield of gold in Victoria for Juno was G3660z. or 57160z. lino, rallied at £39,366, calculated at £6 17s S.S34d an ounce (London average for June). Compared with the return for June last year, an increase of 8650z. tine occurred. REPORTS OF MANAGERS Mataki (Murchison). —For the week ended August 5 tho dredge had a good run of 132 hours pulling ahead 54ft. on a face of 560 ft. for a return of 29 ounces. The bottom is still uneven and we rfro still in worked ground. I do not expect much improvement until the dredge gets past tho tailings, which will take about four weeks'. We will then be in solid ground. The washdirt in the bank is looking better and the bottom has dipped to 18ft. in one part of tho cut. Everything on the dredge is running well.
