EVENT IN CANTERBURY [BY TELEGEAPH —PEESS ASSOCIATION] CHRISTCHURCH. Thursday For the £IOO sparrow shooting handicap match at Leeston to-day there were 40 entries. The conditions were 15 birds off handicap marks. The best scores wore: —J. Stiven (.Balolutha), 16yds., 15 birds; F. W. Brightling (Christchurcli), 18yds., 14; H. Grennell (Port Levy), 21yds., 14; F. L. Graham (Ellesmere), 18yds., 13; J. Brightling (Christchurch), 17yds., 13; W. J. Doyle (Ellesmere), 18yds., 13; C. Seddon (Hamilton), 21yds., 13; £. E. Mcllwrick (Tiniaru), 18yds., 13.
