GANDHI'S CONDITION
WARNING BY DOCTORS PERSISTENCE WITH FAST (Received August 8. 6.25 p.m.) CALCUTTA, August 8 Gandhi's doctors report that the Indian Nationalist leader is badly run down, his heart is weak and generally he is not fit to undertake the fast he began yesterday. The doctors and friends of Gandhi tried to persuade him to end the fast, but he said his decision was irrevocable.
