MISHAP TO STEAMER

PROPELLER BLADE LOST THE CANADIAN HIGHLANDER The Canadian National steamer Canadian Highlander, which is en route from Montreal to Auckland, has reported by wireless that she has lost a propeller blade and is now steaming at reduced speed. The vessel's position at noon yesterday was 76-5 miles from Auckland and she expects to arrive on Sunday. She has general cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington and Australian ports. Before the steamer kaves for Wellington nest week she will probably have the broken propeller replaced by a spare-one which is usually carried on the deck of every overseas vessel.
