Sir, —I endorse Ruby Watson's protest against the City Council spending £5147 on a parking area for cars and the extension of Cliff Road, St. Heliers, until the council has done its duty by local residents. 1 live in a street right in the bay, which is a disgrace to any citv. A badly-formed footpath on a portion of one side —none on the other. Weeds, grass and rough road surface everywhere. Some other areas in the bay are in the same plight. St. Heliers residents have the same rates to pay as others. Whv are tbey neglected-' Yattendon IIOAD.
