TROUBLE OVER RIFLE

CASE AFTER SEVEN YEARS [from our own correspondent] PUKEKOHE. Wednesday A charge of procuring a rifle at Oamaru on July 30, 1927, without a permit, was. brought by the police against Berthel Sygur Syverston. of Buckland, in the Pukekohe Police Court to-day. before Mr. H. S.M. The defendant was also charged with having an unregistered rifle in his possession on June 8, 1934. Sergeant Cowan said the defendant had requested that the case should be adjourned until he could obtain evidence from Oamaru. The case was adjourned until August 22.
