NEW BRANCH OF SOCIETY [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Sunday A decision to form a South Auckland branch of the Zealand Society of i Accountants was agreed to at a largely- [ attended meeting of accountants in | Hamilton on Friday evening. Mr. R. j English presided and welcomed Messrs. jp. Valentine, Dominion president, ; Wellington, J. M. Elliffe, secretary of : the Auckland branch, and E. D. WilkinI son and H. C. Robinson, members of the Auckland executive. * Mr. Valentine said there were 2400 members of the society in New Zealand, 250 being admitted last year as a result I of the Companies Act. There were 600 I members in the Auckland branch, 100 | of whom were in South Auckland, j Mr. Elliffe assured the meeting that ; the proposal to form a branch in the > Waiknto would be warmly supported by | the Auckland branch. I Messrs. R. English, G. S. Crimp, T. G. Reynolds, G. W. G. Thomson and W. Eraser were appointed a committee to arrange for the formation of the new i branch.
