PLANS FOR CARNIVAL
A WEEK AT OPOTIKI DAY FOR MAORI EVENTS [prom our OWN correspondent] OPOTIKI, Saturday Arrangements are well in hand for the annual carnival week, which will be commenced on July 30. Many attractions will be provided during the week. Wednesday will be a great Maori day, and it is expected that over 700 natives will take part in the different events to be held on the cricket reserve, where the spectators will have the advantage of the grandstand and other facilities. The programme will include hakas, poi dances, choir competitions. Treasure hunts, baby show, fancy dress and other competitions will be held during the week.
