CONDITIONS DESCRIBED " BETTER THAN AUSTRALIANS' " MELBOURNE. July 17 Pamphlets brought from Russia by Mr. J. E. Goldsmith, who represented the Wonthaggi miners on the Australian delegation which visited Russia to attend the May Day celebrations, were seized by Customs officials when ha arrived at Melbourne. Mr. Goldsmith stated in an interview that he inspected the Russian coalfields at Stalina. He „said the workers' conditions in tho mines were far superior to those in Australia. Russian miners had four days on and one day off on full pay each week.
