NORTHERN TERRITORY

CONDEMNATION OF LANDS RECENT REPORT RESENTED (Received July 4. 8.55 pjn.) CANBERRA, July 4 In the House of Representatives today the Minister of the Interior, Mr. J. A. Perkins, criticised Dr. J. A. Gilruth's recent condemnation of Northern Territory lands for agricultural purposes. He said Dr. Gilruth's statements were not in accordance with the volume of information in the hands of the Government. The Cabinet very strongly disagreed with the report. " Dr. Gilruth has done a disservice to his country," interposed Mr. R. A. Parkhill, a former Minister of the Interior.
