YOUTH WITHOUT LICENCE [KJIOXI OUR OWN rOIUtESPONDKNT] HAMILTON, Snnclny A case remitted from the Magistrate's Court to tho Children's Court and back again to tho Magistrate's Court camo before Mr. S. L. Paterson, S.M., yesterday, when Arthur Leslio Goodall, aged 17, a farm hand (Mr. .1). Seymour), pleaded not guilty 'to charges of selling vino without a licence and with receiving a stolen generator. Evidence was given that accused sold wine outside a danco hall at Frankton. Ho later went to Leamington, where Jig was found in an intoxicated condition. He had 25 bottles and a jar of wine in his possession, but ho was arrested before ho could try to sell any of it. A young man had admitted the theft of tho generator, which he had taken from his employer and given to accused. Mr. Seymour said that accused did not know ho required to have a licence for selling wine. He merely borrowed the generator. The magistrate said that accused's admissions indicated his guilt. Accused was convicted on both counts, and was placed on probation for two years.
