DEVONPORT MINIATURE CLUB The Dcvonport Miniature Rifle Club held its first trophy shoot of the season last evening. The light varied a great deal, and the Ehooting was patchy, as it was late before ■the. shooting nt the 300 yds. target was finished. Thompson and E. "Webb, with handicaps, reached the maximum of 100 points. .There were 18 competitors. The be.st scores were: —A. Sanders, 46, 'I4—DO; A. Thompson, 41, 4G—B7; E. Webb, 38,. 44 —82; J. D. Clark. 34, 43—77; A. Hollard. 36, 40—76; W. Payne, 40, 36—76. WHANGAREI CLUB [from OUlt OWN correspondent] WHANGAREI, Monday The Whangarei Defence Rifle Club held a shoot during the week-end. the day's trophy being won by S. E.
