DEVONPORT MINIATURE CLUB The Dcvonport Miniature Rifle Club held its first trophy shoot of the season last evening. Following were the best scores registered, the possible being 70:—Holvey, 69, 1—70; Griffiths, 66, 7—70; Grey, 63, 7—70; Walsh. 03, 7—70; Judkins. GO, scr—69; Rutledge, 67, 2 —69; Itoach, 67, 2—09; Nealie, 65, 2—67; 01i% r er, 65, 2—67; Palmer, 60, C—66. THE OPOTIKI CLUB [BV TELECRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] OPOTIKI, Monday The Opotiki Rifle Club held its monthly spoon shoot at 200 yds and 30Oyds on Saturday. The light varied a great deal, and the Ehooting was patchy, as it was late before ■the. shooting nt the 300 yds. target was finished. Thompson and E. "Webb, with handicaps, reached the maximum of 100 points. .There were 18 competitors. The be.st scores were: —A. Sanders, 46, 'I4—DO; A. Thompson, 41, 4G—B7; E. Webb, 38,. 44 —82; J. D. Clark. 34, 43—77; A. Hollard. 36, 40—76; W. Payne, 40, 36—76. WHANGAREI CLUB [from OUlt OWN correspondent] WHANGAREI, Monday The Whangarei Defence Rifle Club held a shoot during the week-end. the day's trophy being won by S. E. Foot, with 41 nt 200 yds. 40 at .'JOOydB, handicap 12, total 93. Other good scores were:—C. Ruddell, 47, 42, 3—92; D. Wilton. 47, 42. scr—B9; I\. Clark. 43. 41. 4—88: Slado Clark, 43. 40, 4—87; E. A. Monday The Matomata Rifle Club held a shoot over the 200 yds and 300 yds ranges on Saturday. Weather conditions were fair, with a clianging light. The following are the best ecores:—C. J.
