SUBSIDISED PROSPECTING RETURN IN THAMES DISTRICT [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] THAMES, Monday Prospectors employed under the Unemployment Board's subsidised scheme in the Thames-Coromandel district won over £2OO worth of gold during April. In Thames Borough, 12 parties had returns from crushings which ranged from lOdwt. to 21oz. lldwt., the total bullion won being oloz. 19dwt., the value, without bonus, being £143 4s Id. In Thames County seven' parties had returns ranging from sdwt. to 3oz. 13dwt., the total bullion being valued at £22 7s 3d. In Coromandel County eight parties had crushings yielding 16oz. 2dwt. bullion, valued at £3B 9s sd. Individual returns ranged from lldwt. to 4oz. 12dwt. In addition, bonuses amounted to £172 2s lOd, paid between February 26 and March 20.
