THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE HIGH INSURANCE LEVELS Dealing 011 the Auckland Stock -Exchange/yesterday centred chiefly in mining shares, there being a heavy disposal of Mahakipawas at lower values. Inquiry for Government loans was firmer for the 4 per cent issues, but the 31 per cents had easier support. Sellers were not prominent and no business was done. A inarked downward movement developed in levels of Bank of New Zcalands and a sale took place 6d lower at 50s 9d. Offers for New South Wales also showed a further fall. New Zealand Insurance advanced to a new sale record of 62s 6d, a rise of 3d. Easier movements accompanied a transfer of South British unchanged at 80s. After a quiet period, Colonial Sugars were in slightly firmer demand and u parcel changed hands Is higher at £64 ]3s 6d. Pukemiro Collieries were sought 6d higher at 25s and business was done jit 255,3 d, a rise of 9d. Sanfords sold at the current rate, Is 9d. In mining Mahakipawas opened on sale 4d cheaper at 8d and dropped to 7jd, with closing transactions at 8d and Bid. Waihi Junctions wero accepted tyice at 4s lid, a gain of Id.
