TOKEN PAYMENT STORY OFFER OFFICIALLY DENIED (Received May 20. 5.5 p.in.) LONDON. May 19 Official circles deny reports from Washington that the British Ambassador to the/United States, Sir Ronald Lindsay, has offered President Roosevelt a £5,000,000 token payment in respect of Britain's war debt instalment due in June.
