TOWN CLERK APPOINTED
- TE KUITI COUNCIL [BT TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] TE KUITI, Saturday Mr. C. Blackmail, at present town' clerk at Port Chalmers, was appointed town clerk of To Kuiti at tho adjourned meeting of tho Borough Council, held last night. Ho will succeed Mr. ; C. H. Tate, who has held the position for niir6 years. Mr. Tate will take up, tho position of town clerk of Feilding on June 1. Mr. Blaekman has held the position of town clerk of Port Chalmers for the past eight years, and had had previous local body experience of ono year as assistant town clerk and accountant to the Eastbourne Borough. Council and assistant town clerk ab Masterton. He has also had,some years commercial experience. He is a returned soldier, "having been attached to the. Now Zealand Forces in France- during the war.
