ROYAL OAK CONCERT
ST. JOHN'S CHURCH BENEFIT An entertainment in aid of the funds of St. John's Church, Royal Ok. -was held on Wednesday evening in the local hall. The Royal Thespians, under the direction of Mr. Alan S. McSkimming, enacted 'the various roles in one-act plays, sketches and monologues, which were interspersed with an excellent programme- of vocal and instrumental numbers. At the close of the entertainment the vicar,.. the Rev. C. F. R. Harrison, expressed his thanks to the performers. Those taking part were:— Miss I. Hutson, Miss E. Harkness. Miss A. Wallace, Miss E. Rosser, Miss E. Tornquist, Miss Daphne Higharn, Messrs. Owen Jones, L. Davies, R. Kirkham, and Alan McSkimming: Miss W. Crook was the accompanist, and Mr. McSkimming producer and stage manager. . •
