LOAN CONVERSION

AUCKLAND POWER BOARD A report on the progress of the conversion of £410,000 worth of securities held by sundry debenture-holders, from varying rates of interest to 41 per cent, was made at a meeting of the Auckland Electric-Power Board yesterday by the general manager, Mr. R. H. Bartley. The amount already dealt with was £172,500, Mr. Bartley said. A pleasing feature was that so far there had been no dissenters from conversion. The chairman, Mr. W. if. Holdsworth, said it was interesting that such a considerable amount had been dealt with to date, as the conversion had been in operation only about 10 days. "It is gratifying to know that the thing is working so smoothly," ho added.
