VISCOUNT TREDEGAR
RECENT AUSTRALIAN VISIT LONDON, May 3 The death is announced of Viscount Tredegar. He contracted bronchi.nl pneumonia immediately he disembarked from the liner Orford after his return from Australia. The late Viscount Tredegar, who was 66 years old, was a director of the Great Western Railway Company. England, and served with distinction in the South African and EurJlean wars. He was a Knight of Grace t][ St. John of Jerusalem. In 1925-26 he was A.D.C. to the King. An enthusiastic yachtsman, at one time he commanded His Majesty's yacht Liberty. Lord Tredegar visited Australia last February, travelling from England and back again on the Orford. Ho was educated at Eton and formerly was colonel in the Royal Monmouthshire Engineers, honorary major in the Army and honorary colonel, Ist Battalian, Monmouthshire Regiment. The heir to the viscountcy is the Hon. Evan F. Morgan, only son of deceased, who is president of the United Commercial Travellers' Association, and was honorary colonel of the 17th London Regiment, 1930. His wife is the second daughter of Lord Alington.
