BAND CONTEST
A contest for C grade and junior bands will be liekl at the Domain this afternoon- for the Hawkes Challenge Shield, the Lewis Eady Shield and the Francis Shield.-Eight well-known Auckland bands are competing, including the Girls' Brass Band. The competitors will be assisted by the Artillery, Watersiders' and Oriehuiifca Municipal Bauds in a special item at the con« elusion.
