CARRIED OUT FOR 35 YEARS Eight Bristol men, all of them mom than 60, have just completed pilgrimage over the Mendip Hills Wells in fulfilment of a vow made years ago. c At Passiontide in 1900 a party o nine set out to walk to Wells to take part, in Evensong at the cathedral, lne journey was accomplished on foot, and the pariy agreed to meet at the same time each \var and repeat it. In Passion Week every year since that day they have fulfilled their vow. One ol' the party has since fallen by the way and not all the rest are still abie to" walk the whole distance, but the last few miles are still covered on foot by the eight pilgrims. Now their v pw Has just been fulfilled for the 35th time.
