OSTRICH FEATHERS

There is a strong fashion for ostrich feathers at the moment, states a London writer. They are not only being used for millinery and dress trimmings, but are launched in all kinds of ways for evening wear. The popularity of capes, is, of course, a fortunate one for the feather trade, as feathers make ideal evening wraps in cape shapes that just reach the elbows. Some new styles which have been shown in the first spring displays in the big shops are knee-length ostrich feather coats, or little short jackets that aro cut off at the waistline. Then there are many feather trimmings, such as attractive sets of collars and cuffs, which will enliven earlv* spring dresses. The feather fashion is a kind one which older women will appreciate; the younger generation, which has never lived through a real feather vogue, will find in it something new.
