EVENING PARTY In aid of funds for the Cathedral Queen, Miss Betty Manning, Mr. and Mrs. Colin Taylor gave an enjoyable party at their home, River Road, the evening being spent in dancing and games. Mrs. Taylor was wearing a frock of Robin Hood green Swiss muslin, while Miss Betty Manning wore black ring velvet. . Among those present were: —Mr. and Mrs. T. G. Reynolds, Mr. and Mrs. J. Bridge Party Mrs. Haseler, who is leaving Hamilton in the near future, was the guest of honour at a bridge party given by Mrs. C. F. Bond, Mrs. E. J. Stewart and Mrs. A. J. Bond in the .Lyceum Club. Mrs. C. F. Bond wore a frock of black georgette, with coatee of lace, and black velour hat; Mrs. E. J. Stewart's frock was of periwinkle blue crepe de chine, and black hat; Mrs. A. J. Bond wore cherry figured ninon with small. cherry-coloured hat; while the guest of honour wore black and white figured marocain, black velour hat and skunk furs. Among the guests .were: —Mrs. J. H. Hammond, Mrs. H. J. Greenslade, Mrs. E. R. Gresham, Mrs. H. Douglas, Mrs. E. J. Mears, Mrs. Corfe, Mrs. H. T. Gillies, Mrs. J. Chitty, Mrs. J. Gray, Mrs. Ratcliffe, Mrs. E. F. Peacocke, Mrs. Horobin, Mrs. Skipwortli, Miss Gwynneth (Cambridge), Miss* AVyatt, Miss C. Jolly, Miss Wallnutt, Miss Garratt, Miss Roche, Miss Eggleston, Miss Stevens. , Farewell Afternoon The members of the St. Aidan's Guild, Claudelands, gave a farewell afternoon for Miss Rankin, who is leaving Hamilton. A competition was won by Mrs. J. D. Smith. Songs by Mrs. J. Standrin and a recitation by Miss J. Livingstone were enjoyed by the listeners Mrs. W. M. Smallfield, on behalf of those present, presented Miss Rankin with a handbag in appreciation of her services to the guild. Among those present were: —Mrs. W. Smallfield, Mrs. A. S. Tonks, Mrs. A. vV.
