SIGHTED FROM OKARITO FISHING LINES COME ASHORE [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON-. Monday The Postal Department has received the following advice from the postmaster of Hokitika: —Okarito reports that a launch or rowing boat was seen floating bottom up about 200 yards out from the shore approximately four miles to the south of Okarito. Deepsea fishing lines have come ashore, and they appear to be quite new. No boat is missing from this locality.

Okarito is a goldmining township on the sea coast o£ Westland, 83 miles south from Hokitika.
