THE PRESENT POSITION GENERAL INQUIRY SOUGHT [BY TELEGRAPH —PBESS ASSOCIATION'] CHRISTCHURCH, Monday A largely-attended meeting of tho Canterbury section of tho Post and Telegraph Employees' Association tonight carried the following resolution: —" Believing that the lead by the Government in the direction of the restoration of salary and wage reduction of 1931-32 would immediately engender tho ever-widening feeling of confidence throughout the country, resulting in a steady return to national recovery and prosperity, the North Canterbury section of the Post and Telegraph Employees' Association requests the Dominion executive to obtain from all centres full particulars concerning those local bodies, firms and institutions which have either not reduced salaries or which have since made some measure of restitution, the position when ascertained to be laid before the Government."
