Mr. O'Neill stated that the council has accordingly submitted the nomination to the New Zealand Olympic and Empire Games Association, which will make the final selection of the team. If Frankham is given a place, the association will defray the major part of his expenses to London, but his- departure also depends upon the success of the appeal now being made bv tbe Auckland Swimming Centre and the Mount Eden Club -for the £6O necessary to cover the balance of his expenses.
