FLIGHT COMPLETED
RUBINS AND WALLER AIRMEN REACH DARWIN (Received April 6, 9.45 p.m.) DARWIN, April § Messrs. Bernard Rubins and Ken Waller, who left Lympne aerodrome, Kent, on March 22 on a Sight to Ausr tralia, arrived at Darwin at 12.23 p.m. to-day. They had left Koepang, Timor Island, early in the morning. The airmen will remain in Australia about 10 days and then return over the same route after visiting Sydney and Melbourne. Their object is to but? vey the route of the centenary air race, as Mr. Rubins intends to enter for it. He will fly a new type of Comet machine. The present machine is a, Leopard Moth with an enclosed cabin, Mr. Rubins is Australian-born. H§ served with the Imperial forces in thf war. Mr. Waller is a native of Kent.
