STRANDED VESSEL

JAP A TOTAL WRECK SYDNEY. April 6 The wooden coastal steamer Jap (242 tons), belonging to the Coastal Steamships Company, which ran aground on a sandspit in the vicinity of Capo Hawke on Tuesday when being towed to sea, and which the crew abandoned, is now a total wreck. The salvaging of the timber cargo is being undertaken.
