THEFT OF GROCERIES

MAROMAKU STORE ENTERED [from our own correspondent] TOWAT, Friday A store owned by Smeath and Forsvthe at Maromaku, 28 miles north of Whangarei, was broken into last night and tobacco, groceries and fancy goods to the value of £2O were stolen. Access was gained by cutting a hole in the wooden wall of £ho building, allowing a boit in a rear door to be drawn. The thieves apparently spent some time in the store which is some distance from the house.
