SOUTH ISLAND FINALS McDOUGALL WINS SINGLES [BY TKI/EORAFH—PRESS ASSOCIATION] DUNEDIN, Monday The Otago and South Island tennis championships were continued to-day in ideal weather, the finals of the men's and ladies' singles championships being decided. S. G. Mc-Dougall defeated the holder, G. A. Pearce, in straight sets in decisive fashion, and Miss D. Miller (Oamaru), already three times winner of the championship, disposed of Miss M. Pattison (Dunedin). Miss M. Carson (Waikouaiti) won the B grade ladies' championship, and L. A. Kayo the B grade men's event. The hoys' championship was won by F. 13. Kerr (Dunedin), and the girls' championship by Miss M. Wilkie. G. A. Pearce and C. A. K. Deaker and K. D. Dtitliie and R. A. Guy aro the finalists in the men's doubles championships.
