MISHAP IN PACIFIC EFFORTS TO REFLOAT TWO VESSELS STANDING BY By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received April 2, 5.5 p.m.) SUVA. April 2 Two unsuccessful attempts were made to-dav to refloat the Union Company's cargo steamer Waihemo, which grounded in Navula Passage at 8 a.m. on Sunday, when she was proceeding from Lautoka to Suva. A further attempt to tow the vessel afloat is to be made this evening at high water. The steamers Malnke and Derek are standing by to assist in the salvage work. The weather has been calm since the vessel went ashore, and she is making no water.
